Key to guiding the strategic direction of the organisation and shaping its relationship with key regulators is the Strategic Planning Group (SPG). The team provides advice on a wide range of issues across the business & are currently looking for an analyst who will help to provide evidence & analysis to support our recommendations.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

* Data Gathering & analysis to support the SPG function & advise the business on the following areas:

•    Developing the customer proposition
•    Investment in channels and content
•    Assessment of new technologies and the opportunities they offer
•    Assessment of growth opportunities in new markets
•    Competitor analysis
•    Policy and regulatory affairs.

* Presenting the results of your analysis through engaging PPT presentations & concise written reports

*Providing support to the finance function in updating the Sky’s 5 year business plan for the quarterly updates/ad hoc requests, suggesting improvements to best reflect the current business

*Assisting senior modellers/strategic managers in planning and creating flexible, robust and accurate models for key strategic projects e.g. cash-flow forecasting, valuations, business operation evaluation, project appraisal

*Developing strong working relationships with other departments as well as within Strategic Planning

Successful applicants will typically have:
 
*Work experience in a strategy consultancy and/or a business modelling team

*Strong academics; a minimum of a 2.1 degree in Economics, Mathematics or a similar analytical course from a leading university

*Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, modelling and desk research skills

*The ability to perform tasks with speed and accuracy

*The confidence to work effectively without close supervision and demonstrate excellent personal time management.
