Alternative investment boutique seeks a due diligence officer versed in multiple hedge fund strategies to join its investment team to analyze, select, and monitor hedge funds on behalf of its overseas institutional investors.

Job Description: The Due Diligence Officer will analyze and monitor existing and potential underlying hedge funds in our multi-strategy fund-of-funds. The ideal candidate has direct experience at a fund-of-funds and/or has managed his/her own book of capital. MBA a must. Responsibilities include daily monitoring of existing funds in the portfolio and conducting due diligence on new managers. Monitoring involves analysis of fund performance, underlying positions and risk levels, including active communication with fund managers. Due diligence includes sourcing and conducting qualitative and quantitative assessments on the investment strategy and business models of underlying hedge fund managers through analysis of information and onsite visits. The position can lead to portfolio management responsibilities for the right candidate.
