Our client, a successful, listed, financial services business with a global footprint is seeking to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager
Role descriptionAs Senior Business Development Manager you will identify, market to and engage with potential international partners who are interested in developing scalable and sustainable business relationships through either joint ventures, strategic investments or mergers & acquisitions. Reporting to the International Business Development Director you will need to be willing and able to undertake periods overseas in order to deliver success in this role. Key deliverables for this role will include: •Undertake fact finding, analysis and make recommendations to the Business Development Director (BDD) and International Executive team in order to target appropriate overseas opportunities • Assist the BDD in developing appropriate strategies and networks to be able to develop a 'pipeline' of international opportunities • To assist the BDD in developing appropriate strategies to plan for growth in the value of the International division in new and existing territories • To assist the BDD in the marketing effort, contract negotiations and transaction execution and closing of new opportunities • Work closely with the wider group and International functions to support the overall strategy of the business
This is a fabulous 'Corporate Development' opportunity which will enable you to use your commercial background to grow the International arm of a major financial services company.Who we're looking forApplications are invited from talented business professionals with an exceptional academic pedigree and first class interpersonal skills who will be able to work effectively and influentially in emerging markets, often liaising with people for whom English is not their first language. Whilst there is some flexibility regarding the precise background of the successful individual, it is likely that one of the following profiles proves accurate. A Chartered accountant or MBA from one of the following backgrounds. • A corporate finance or transaction services professional, working for a leading professional services firm with a financial services client base • Someone with a successful track record of corporate development or strategy, currently working in a leading consultancy • An individual with experience gained in investment banking with a FIG leaning with hands-on transactions or M&A skills
