40|86 Advisors is currently looking for a Structured Securities Analyst. In this role you will monitor existing holdings and analyze new purchase and trading opportunities.
You will analyze and monitor transactions, portfolio, and collateral performance by developing and maintaining models and databases to assist in this process. You will perform loan level credit analysis and due diligence of originators, servicers, and other related counterparties. You must possess a superior knowledge of mortgage related markets with specific emphasis on RMBS.
What you will be doing: • Monitoring, analyzing, and communicating relative value within the assigned sector • Performing detailed analysis of individual securities within the sector • Monitoring current portfolio holdings in a risk/return framework • Assessing portfolio exposures and proposing strategies on the basis of expected return per unit of risk • Actively interfacing with PM’s and supporting other members of the team
What you need to have: Bachelor’s degree MBA/CFA preferred 3-5 years mortgage securities experience Yieldbook, Intex, LoanPerformance and Bloomberg - experience in any or all systems is a plus
